Three Months Have Passed

We have already eclipsed three months in King Henry's life. He has grown so fast, he smiles all the time and has even started to laugh when he's in the best of moods. Because of all this, he has so many people who love him.

In the past month Henry finally figured out the whole rolling over thing. It took him a lot of miscues, but he finally figured it out. Funny enough, the first time he rolled over, neither Cadi or I even witnessed it. I put him down on his play mat on his back and left his nursery for a moment. Cadi came hurdling into our bedroom with Henry in hand and asked, "Did you put him on his stomach?" I replied, "No." Then we both realized the first time he rolled over there was no audience. Now he rolls over all the time, but he hates the end result. He hates being on his stomach and cries and fusses. But when you roll him to his back again, he bunches his legs up and tries to roll over again, and again. Babies, I tell ya.

We slowly but surely conquered the impossible: we got him to nap in his crib. It took a lot of practice and perseverance, but slowly he just began to fall right asleep in his crib. We are grateful for this so early evening around his bedtime he doesn't get so crabby.

Cadi had a fun time dressing Henry one day this week, as she paired his red polo with tan pants. He looked just like a Target employee. I made that joke that he was applying and put this picture on Facebook and Henry was a huge hit.

Henry has gotten to know his two aunts and his Nanna Deery very well as they have been helping with childcare as Cadi has now gone back to work. She passed her boards with flying colors and now is a certified RN at United Hospital in St. Paul. Her training has been hard on both her and Henry, as the two miss each other throughout the week. With the help of my mom and sisters, they have given me the chance to work during the day while they watch the rugrat. We are so lucky to have such a great support system.

As always, here are the photos we took with my camera to celebrate his three months with us. This top photo is Cadi getting Henry into position as he just stares down the camera. This is one of my favorite photos I've ever taken.
