Two Months Old Already
It's crazy how time flies; throughout your life you always hear parents say exactly that when talking about their kids. Seeing a newborn grow into a two month old and watching Henry change, and learn, and smile is really one of the biggest reminders of how fast time really does fly.
Henry is really starting to have his own personality, one of his strongest traits is stubbornness that he gets from his mother. :)
When Henry wants something, or doesn't want something, like a nap, he will let you know, passionately.
Cadi and I have worked very hard to get Henry sleeping in his crib. We both struggled to get even a pathetic night's sleep with having him in the bedroom with us. So we slowly conditioned him to sleep on his own in his nursery. The first nights he slept only a few hours and then came back into his bassinet to be near his mom. But soon after he was sleeping in his crib for 5, 6, 7, even 8 hours through the night. Getting him into a bedtime routine helped immensely, and both of us could not be happier to have him sleeping in his own bed. Goodbye bassinet.
Now we are slowly working on him taking naps in his crib. That's a whole different battle. He has gotten so used to napping in people's arms or in his swing, this will surely take more time.
My absolute favorite time with Henry is when Cadi and I give him his baths. He is so cute already, but he looks even more handsome when he is clean with a slick head of baby hair. The kid loves the warm water and doesn't mind being washed (except his armpits). Cadi and I truly adore the time we get to spend as a family cleaning this little munchkin. Seeing him in the water, for some reason I just thought he looked like a cute little Pokémon, a Baby Squirtle. So that's what I call him now.
It was really hard for both Cadi and I to bring Henry in to get his two month shots. Despite him getting stuck with a needle, I think Cadi took it much harder. In the following days the poor kid ran a fever and didn't feel well at all. But soon after, he was back to his normal self again.
Here are some of the photos Cadi and I took to celebrate your two months with my nice camera. You can already see how much this kid has grown.
